Meet Your Director

Hi, I’m Kyla, the Centre Director at Pittsworth Early Learning.
I’ve been working in Early Childhood Education since 2016, beginning my journey as a room assistant before growing into the roles of Group Leader, Assistant Director, and now Director.

As a passionate advocate for children’s development, I believe in creating environments where children are encouraged to thrive, explore their interests, and build the foundations for a lifelong love of learning. My leadership is grounded in the belief that all children are capable, competent, and deserving of trust and responsibility.

Being a Director in a small country town has truly deepened my love for community. I strongly believe that meaningful connections between educators, families, and the wider community help children feel a strong sense of belonging and purpose. I enjoy leading my team to create learning opportunities that are rich, creative, and shaped by the children’s own interests.

At our centre, we value open communication, meaningful relationships, and creating a warm, supportive environment where every child is seen, heard, and celebrated. I am deeply committed to mentoring and guiding educators to engage with children in ways that foster curiosity, confidence, and creativity.

When you walk through our doors, you’ll feel the joy, connection, and passion we bring to every day; a place where children are supported to grow, learn, and feel a strong sense of belonging.

Accessing the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) percentage determines how much subsidy you receive based on your income. Centrelink calculates this percentage using the annual income and the number of children in your family who attend child care. We can assist you in navigating this process, and this CCS calculator can help provide a percentage guide.
